Who are you ?
Hi there again! Just in case you missed it, I'm Melissa. I'm 33 years old and I'm an experienced French creative content manager with demonstrable leadership qualities. My expertise lies in digital marketing, specifically focusing on creative content strategy, applied to social ads and organic growth. I'm also passionate about food and writing, and I hold a deep interest in spirituality, mindfulness, and mental health. Yes, I know it might sound like quite a handful, but let me explain. Some would call me a multi-talented individual with a wide range of interests and an extensive skill set. This combination often propels me to exceed expectations in any given role. Have you ever seen the 90s show "The Chameleon"? I am no genius, but in a more down-to-earth way, my career sometimes feels a bit like that. When I took a waitress job to support myself through college, I was asked to become a restaurant manager at 23. When I took a temporary job as a sales advisor with no experience in fashion retail, I climbed to an assistant store manager position in 7 months. When I started a part-time desk job, I was left managing two locations full time in just 3 months. When I initially began as a temporary content writer at an entry-level position in a web company, my boss approached me six months later and asked if I'd be interested in running my own business based on the contributions I had made to the teams around me during my brief time there. I declined, as that decision aligns with who I am as a person and started my own freelance activity.

What are your core values regarding work ?
Respect, kindness, results, trust, transparency, and balance. Considering that we dedicate around 80% of our time to work, I firmly believe in the importance of infusing it with enjoyment. This foundation starts with nurturing a positive mindset and fostering a wholesome work environment—beginning with our personal attitude before expecting adjustments from others.By cultivating mutual respect, we naturally cultivate a sense of ease for everyone in the workplace. This principle is non-negotiable for me. With politeness and genuine kindness, we elevate not only our own day but also the days of those around us. By emphasizing results and strategic thinking, we're able to effectively accomplish tasks, even the small successes trigger a dopamine release in our brains, alleviating work-related anxiety.Through the element of trust, we place genuine value in each other, creating a secure space where we can perform at our very best. Transparency serves as a pillar, fostering a sense of calm and eliminating uncertainties, doubts, and rumors. It's a means of providing clear purpose to everyone's day.And last but not least, we mustn't overlook the fundamental aspect of balance. While work holds significance, it's only a facet of life. When we learn to maintain equilibrium, work becomes an enriching and enjoyable component of our lives.

What are your strenghts ? What are you still learning ?
One of my prominent professional strengths lies in my ability to work swiftly. I possess an innate skill to easily adapt and pro-actively acquire the necessary knowledge when confronted with the unfamiliar. However, I do find it challenging to firmly decline a task when it's necessary, and I might occasionally underestimate the toll my workload takes on my mental energy. There's a tendency to strive for a compromise that pleases everyone, even if it's not practically feasible. On a positive note, empathy is a cornerstone of my personality. I employ emotional intelligence to effectively communicate with those around me, whether they're colleagues or clients. Alongside the authority I hold, there's an inherent responsibility. I sometimes grapple with an inclination to believe that self-reliance is always the optimal route. This can occasionally translate into an natural difficulty in delegating important tasks, when I'm aware that I could handle them faster or in a more efficient manner. It's an aspect I've been diligently addressing since taking on a managerial role. I firmly believe that fostering trust, assigning responsibilities, and imbuing work with a sense of purpose are vital components for people to truly flourish. We are always learning, and what I value most is effort, that goes for me as well as the people around me. Something might not be spontaneous or natural for me but I am fortunate enough that I have the capacity to identify and learn to correct a behavior to make myself evolve. As human we have the power to simply make a conscience effort to go against our nature to make our life better.

What are you looking for in a collaboration or in a company you join ?
I've been in the digital marketing game for quite a while now. I've earned recognition and financial rewards along the way, but what I'm really after is a mission—a brand that resonates with my core values and beliefs. I want to use my skills to make a meaningful impact, spreading the word about something that genuinely makes the world a better place.

Of course, autonomy and trust in my abilities are non-negotiable—they're key to doing my best work. And let's be honest, anyone who claims money doesn't matter at this stage is kidding themselves. Naturally, I'm looking for compensation that reflects the value I bring to the table. But above all, my personal balance and the respect of my time will always be my top priorities.

Simply, what do you really bring to the table ? Why should we chose you ?
To put it simply, I bring effectiveness, efficiency and soft skills to the table. I'm not just someone who completes tasks; I provide answers and solutions, sidestepping mere problem identification. My approach is straightforward: I'll inquire, "What do you require?" and then proceed to engineer a path to obtain it. Continuously, I seek out shortcuts and methodologies to streamline the workload, benefiting not only myself but the entire team, resulting in an enhanced outcome. My strength lies in strategic thinking; I initiate projects and devise plans without needing to be prompted, my singular focus being on achieving the optimal result. My forte rests in autonomy. The emphasis isn't on the hours invested or whether personal time was sacrificed to meet a deadline; what truly matters is that the task is accomplished punctually. An added bonus with me is my upfront honesty. If a task is beyond my capabilities, I'll openly admit it. I'll either identify an individual better suited for the job, propose an alternative approach that yields the same outcome, or lay out what's necessary to bridge the gap between my current abilities and the task's demands. Alternatively, if the objective itself is impractical, I'll guide a reevaluation. This transparent methodology lightens the collective mental load of the team, fostering a positive atmosphere and, importantly, injecting an element of enjoyment into our work—because after all, work shouldn't be a mere chore.
